Isolde has one of my fave tropes in both characters and MCs: an out of touch noble with a heart of gold. I look forward to seeing her growing into her role as queen and learning more about both leadership and hardship.
I liked that we could choose to push her to be more independent vs relying on us. I can see that being explored more in different ways, like MC being seen as (or purposefully being) manipulative.
The cases we saw were great imo bc they all had grey areas, like roads vs aid. The illegitimate son was interesting, esp if you side with him 👀 I wanted to but didn't since he had no other witnesses/proof and the nobles were already up queenie's ass.
My only major feedback rn is that I feel we have a lack of choice with how MC behaves. Since MC will always be in love with Isolde I'd like to be able to choose exactly how they feel about her. Maybe they're begrudgingly in love/resentful ("she sees me as her toy"), in denial ("we're just friends"), also oblivious like her, conflicted bc of how rich and sheltered she is ("how can she be so self absorbed"), etc. Aside from her specifically, more opportunities to see MC's chosen personality (😇🤡😐🔥) come through during dialogues. Right now MC largely acts the same no matter what you say.

Right now, I'd say the MC's love for Isolde kinda blinds them to her faults, but I definitely plan to offer ways to alter how the MC feels about her at some point. Though I feel like you kinda get that in chapter 2 when you choose how you feel about Isolde buying you things. Also, with the personalities, I do include flavor text for them starting in this latest chapter. You have to pick the same personality choices in chapters 1 to 2 to lock in your personality in 3. So that's like 6 choices. IF you can see them and the MC and the still just seems the same, I'd like to hear more if you have any feedback on how to distinguish them more.

The ballroom is still full of music and candlelight. Nobles turn as Isolde enters, ready to claim another word, another smile, another piece of the new queen’s attention.
This time, she keeps you close.
The celebration continues around you, but the shape of the evening has changed. By the end of the night, you are no longer only Isolde’s closest friend.

I did consider making the Ro's gender selectable very early on in the planning of the story, but writing them felt more natural as the genders they are. Also, most of the plot would not matter if Isolde were a man lol.

After picking or typing in your pronouns you should press confirm so they can change. You can see the change instantly when you check the pronouns on the character profile. You can also change your pronouns anytime through the settings.
Hah. Love the newest update. I'm happy with the slow-burn romance growing between my MC and Lucian. Isolde has gotten better since the first chapter. Still not interested in romancing her (though probably cause I'm about the boys =P) but I do want to assist and help her become a good Queen.

It’s a pretty good story. Just started it, waiting for it to build a bit more before I dug in. I don’t like that MC is in love with Isolde. She isn’t my type honestly for a female LI. I wish we had more choice in that relationship.

Yea, a forced romance with a genderlocked RO is a little annoying. What if you wanted to play a gay guy or a straight woman? Sorry, the princess is the love of your life regardless. 🙄
I've explained this before on my Tumblr, so if you haven't seen it already, there are no characters you are "forced" to romance. The MC being in love with her is only for the plot. You don't have to romance her if you don't want to. There are two male romances and another female romance available. You can play however you want and decide for yourself how your MC identifies, and if that doesn't work for you, then you don't have to play at all.
It is there in Isolde's description that she is the Mc's best friend and the unrequited love of their life. So the extent of the MC's feelings is stated clearly there. She's also the first RO listed here and on Tumblr. I don't know where the surprise is coming from unless someone is playing the game without even reading the game's description. If they aren't reading it, and then they get upset, that's their own fault.

So I kinda like isolde whole vibe as a romantic interest yet I wished we could choose the gender of her chracter probably cause i am into guys lol
